The NFL Network Predictions are in!With the regular season looming , fans are surely clamoring for the Turf Show Times staff’s 2018 prognostications. Don’t worry, we’ll get it together; but for now the NFL Network’s analysts have come up with their predictions on who will celebrate division titles this season, as well as the teams that they think will end up nabbing Wildcard spots. This may take some getting used to, but the Los Angeles Rams were one of only two teams to be unanimously picked to win their division; the other being the New England Patriots. Of course, for all the Jippy Goropolopolis hype that has clogged the internet during the offseason, neither the NFC West or the AFC East appear to have a strong candidate to unseat the Rams or Patriots this season.Several other divisions had the voters more divided. The Baltimore Ravens appear to have some believers, as they look to unseat the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North. James Jones even predicted the Cleveland Browns in a take that is boldly dripping with molten lava. The Green Bay Packers have Aaron Rogers back, and got some love as they try to regain NFC North supremacy from the stacked, and still favored Minnesota Vikings. In the NFC South there’s a close split between those who feel the New Orleans Saints or Atlanta Falcons will come out on top. Nobody picked the Carolina Panthers, so look for them to be better than expected-that’s how it goes right? Get ready for more of the same hype , albeit well-deserved hype, in the days leading up to the regular season. After that, the Rams will have to actually beat teams on the field to continue pulling praise. The Network analysts predictions are in, but who do you have winning their divisions this season?Los Angeles Rams vs. Los Angeles Chargers: Top Week 3 storylines Greg Zuerlein is out for 3-6 weeks & other roster movesBefore the home opener against the Arizona Cardinals, K Greg Zuerlein injured his groin in warmups and Coach McVay and Coach Bones had to get creative during game — so many two-point conversions! And they even used P Johnny Hekker to kick a 20-yard field goal. That also means that with Greg the Leg out for 3-6 weeks; because of that, the Rams have brought in last year’s substitute kicker, Sam Ficken. This Mark Barron injury seems like it’s dragging along slowly, probably because it deals with the achilles, which is a part of the ankle not to be trifled with. The Rams also cut Brandon Allen, then placed him back on the practice squad while tiny other roster moves were happening: OL Jamon Brown is back on the roster after serving his two-game suspension (while his replacement Youth Jared Goff Jersey , Austin Blythe, maybe, possibly stole his job). And our favorite preseason player, WR KhaDarel Hodge is now on the 53-man roster to serve as a backup to special teams specialist WR JoJo Natson. The Rams are #1 in most power rankingsThe new power rankings are in after the week 2 games and the Rams are looking like the team to beat. How is that going to affect the team on the field? Vinny Bonsignore, as always, has something to say about it.With only 3 TD passes, Jared Goff’s hype is under-the-radarEven though the Los Angeles Rams are 2-0 and won both games rather emphatically, the national NFL media is naturally drawn to more flashy accomplishments, such QB Patrick Mahomes II dropping 6 touchdown passes, or even Harvard journeyman QB Ryan Fitzpatrick throwing 4 TDs for the second week in a row. So , what does that mean for young Jared?Well, you have to search a little harder for proof that our young QB is doing alright. So, that’s what you have me for:So, what I think J.B. is saying is that we make sure Goff throws for 300+ every game. I’m in!The battle for LA strikes againWith the Chargers taking the 405 to the 105 to the 110, the national media might not care, but it’s going to be a game that means a lot for both teams. The Chargers have a lot of weapons and TST is already ramping up our coverage of the matchup. And RB Todd Gurley II wants our fandom to grow, so let’s not disappoint. Those are the current storylines going into our week 3 home game with the Los Angeles Chargers. Keep checking back with Turf Show Times for more stories as they happen!
